Each face mask is naturally hand-dyed and takes about three days to complete. Botanicals include parts from purple sage, avocado, rose, harakeke(flax), and lavender.
Alchemical processes transform mulberry silk into earthy colours and hues, using locally grown and ethically wild-harvested botanicals. Silk is naturally sourced, breathable, hypoallergenic, temperature regulating, anti-aging, and lovely for the skin and hair!
Natural dyes give us sovereignty over what we put on and in our bodies. Choosing natural fibers and naturally dyed garments is a vote for a world with fewer environmental and human health implications that are caused from chemical dyeing and also helps mitigate plasticizers and chemical dyes from flowing from our washing machines to waterways. Being mindful of not only the materials that we choose to put on our skin but also the dyes that are used for our clothing takes us one step closer to a cleaner and greener future.
